Segment as mandatory field in profit center master data

Symptom
General Ledger Accounting (new) is active. When you maintain profit center master data, you cannot set the segment field as a mandatory field.
Exception:
If the segment is maintained with “zero balance”, the system may issue the customizable message FAGL_LEDGER_CUST 052.
