EURO: Close controlling object with rounding differences

[] [] [] [] [] []

Symptom
When you try to close a CO object after changeover to the euro, the system generates one of the error messages KO115, KO450, KO451 or KD276. The corresponding balances are rounding differences which were caused by the changeover to the euro.
Other terms
KO88, CO88, CJ88, CJ8G, VA88, KO02, CJ02, archiving, deletion flag, DLFL, CLSD, order, difference
Reason and Prerequisites
You cannot proceed in accordance with the long text of the error message since the objects are not credited through settlement but through reposting, or the balances cannot be settled for other reasons.
Cent differences may occur for capital investment measures with line item settlement, to which line items posted before the changeover to the euro can be settled after the changeover to the euro.
In order to avoid inconsistencies in Financial Accounting and Profitability Analysis, the system only allows you to close objects if they have been fully credited.
Solution
Whenever possible, follow the long text of the error message.Should this not be possible, you can proceed as follows:
Error KO115
Set the indicator ‘Actual costs / cost of sales’ to ‘can be settled’ in the settlement profile. The message is then displayed as a warning message when closing.
As an alternative, you can implement the modification in Include LKORETOP and function module k_object_reorg_check.The object can then be closed with a warning message at a balance of less than 10 currency units.
This enables you to close the measures for line item-controlled capital investment measures.In Asset Accounting, the rounding differences cause no problems;
Error KO450
Implement the corrections instructions 0120031469 0000231545 (modification).
Using Transaction SM31 maintain the following entry in table T100S:
Application area Msg… Allowed Standard Switch off
KO 450 WE E Empty
In Releases 3.0 and 3.1, in addition you must first add a domain fixed value for domain ARBFI. To do this proceed as follows:Call up Transaction SE11, select domain ARBFI, choose ‘Change’, choose ‘Fixed values’.Add a new entry ‘KO’ with the description ‘Master data for CO orders’.Save and activate the domain.
Afterwards you can use Transaction OBA5 to temporarily change the error message into a warning message.
If you want to achieve that the system always generates an error message in the case of deviations of 10 currency units or more, proceed in the same way, but instead of the above-mentioned correction instructions, implement the modification of Include LKORETOP as well as the correction instructions 0120031469 0000230680.
Error KO451
Implement the corrections instructions 0120024545 0000126403 (modification).
Using Transaction SM31 maintain the following entry in table T100S:
Application area Msg… Allowed Standard Switch off
KO 451 WE E Empty

Error KD276
Implement Note 118853.
If you want to achieve that the system always generates an error message in the case of deviations of 10 currency units or more, also implement the attached modifications in Include LKO73TOP (as of Release 4.5) or LKO76TOP (prior to Release 4.5) and function module K_BALANCE_COSB_GET.
Also consider note 438329 concerning archiving with SD_VBAK.
