[] [] [] [] []

  1. KE 396 with multiple account assignment or add profit centerSymptom You receive the error message KE 396 (”Inconsistency between a document field and the prof. segment number”) when you make a posting in external accounting (for example goods movement) or when...

Symptom
During good receipt with reference to PO using MIGO or MB01, auto-generated lines such as price difference ( PRD ) line does not inherite the account assignment from the PO. The account assignment is getting from the default account assignment in customising OKB9.
Other terms
xauto, OKB9, PRD, KBS, WE01, XPKON; purchase order
Reason and Prerequisites
This is not an error but the standard behaviour of SAP system. By default, the account assignment of auto-generated line such as PRD, KBS, FRL or GBB as a result of good receipt with reference to PO using MIGO or MB01 will not be taken from the PO but account assignment in customising OKB9.
Solution
If you do not want the system to default the account assignment from OKB9 for the auto-generated lines, you can achieve this via customising using TA OMWN for the relevant business line. You have to set this field ‘Check Account Assignment’ from ‘ ‘ to ‘X’.
If there is no entry for the relevant business line, such as FRL, you can insert an entry via the following steps :
Example of new entry :
Movement Type 101
Value updating X
Qty updating X
Special Stock E
Movement ind. B
Consumption ‘ ‘
Value string WE01
Consec. counter ‘ ‘
Transaction ‘FRL’
Use transaction SM31 -> View ‘V_156X_KO’ -> Select ‘Maintain’ -> Use the ‘Position Button’ to position to the nearest similar entry, ie PRD line -> Select this PRD line and press F6 ( Copy as button ) -> at the section ‘Current Entry’, change the field ‘Consecutive Counter’ from 3 ‘PRD’ to 8 ‘FRL’ -> and save the entry. After that set the field ‘Check Account Assignment’ to ‘X’.
With the above customising, the account assignment of the PO will be copied to the ‘FRL’ ( Freight Charges ) business line.
